THE GOVERNING CAUCUS

Coordination among the people who elect governing Republicans in Oklahoma · confidential · not for distribution

Coordination, not an organization.

Oklahoma's governing Republicans keep losing primaries they should win — not for lack of candidates or conviction, but for lack of coordination. The people who actually elect governing conservatives in this state have never simply compared notes and pointed the same direction. This is that, and nothing heavier.

What it is

A handful of the professionals who elect governing Republicans, talking more and working from the same intelligence, aimed at the races that decide the direction of the state.

What it is not

Not an entity. No board, no dues, no membership card, no public launch. Nothing to sign and nothing to announce. It works precisely because it never becomes a thing anyone can point at.

The one commitment

We don't run against each other's candidates in the races that matter. Everything else — shared data, shared read of the board, shared bench — is easy. That single norm is the whole ask.

Why now

2026 made the stakes plain, and 2028 concentrates them onto a single ballot. The window to get organized is the next eighteen months, quietly.
